Would Thaddeus Moss be a good fit with the Carolina Panthers?
By Dean Jones
Will Moss be a success in the NFL?
Thaddeus Moss seems to have recovered from a serious foot injury suffered in 2018 enough to warrant serious consideration from round three onwards. He is a player with high upside and if the player can become a more polished route runner then big things could be in his future.
Having a reliable tight end who can move the sticks it vital in today’s NFL. This is an area of particular need for the Carolina Panthers if Ian Thomas does not come on as expected.
Even so, the organization might want to take a chance on Moss and even utilize two tight end sets in order to get more creative on offense and take some of the pressure off All-Pro running back Christian McCaffrey.
How Moss develops during his first two seasons in the league is going to go a long way to determining what impact he is going to have long term. There will be a bullseye on his back being the son of a legendary wide receiver and he must cope with that pressure accordingly.
The player does seem to have a grounded mentality and has shown willingness to do what is necessary for his team to win. Moss could be an elite blocking tight end with the capability to gain vital touchdowns and yards across the middle.
If he can live up to this potential, then a solid career in the pros will be virtually guaranteed.
