5 prospects the Panthers don’t want to see in the NFC South

K’Lavon Chaisson – DE/LB (LSU)
K’Lavon Chaisson has been one of the stars of the evaluation process thanks to his exceptional skill-set.
The edge-rusher enjoyed a phenomenal final season at LSU that eventually ended with a National Championship victory. If Chaisson improves his run defending, then he is going to quickly emerge as a standout player in the NFL.
He is a unique pass-rusher thanks to his incredible burst and movement off the line of scrimmage. Chaisson is also brilliant in the stand-up game from the outside linebacker position during specific blitz packages.
This versatility in a crucial area of the field is something every pro scout is looking for. Chaisson also has the experience and the proven film to back up his elite ability.
His capabilities are endless and can get after the quarterback early and often thanks to his speed and power. He is a proven winner that brings a tremendous mentality to any team fortunate enough to acquire his services.
The New Orleans Saints and Atlanta Falcons would benefit enormously from having a young hybrid like Chaisson on their roster. Both feel they are primed to make a real run at the NFC South title next season and the defensive end/linebacker is a born winner that seems to always be around the ball.
Someone like that would be a nightmare for All-Pro running back Christian McCaffrey and the Carolina Panthers’ offensive line.
