Panthers 2020 schedule: 3 toughest home games
By Dean Jones
1. Tampa Bay Buccaneers
The NFC South is going to be supremely difficult in 2020. This has plenty to do with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, who have gone from also-rans to Super Bowl contenders in one sensational offseason.
The Carolina Panthers 2020 schedule dictates they will see the Bucs twice a season. This makes their home game against Bruce Arians’ men a daunting prospect if the team is firing on all cylinders by that point.
Tom Brady might be way past his best. But the quarterback has landed in a spot with some of the best offensive weapons in the NFL. He will be playing in front of an offensive line that will be boosted by first-round pick Tristan Wirfs, who is an aggressive individual that possesses phenomenal footwork.
The wide receiver tandem of Chris Godwin and Mike Evans is arguably the most prolific in the league. They also have two good running backs in Ronald Jones and rookie Ke’Shawn Vaughn, in addition to returning tight end Rob Gronkowski following his trade from the New England Patriots.
They are going to be incredibly hard to stop offensively. But their defense also went under the radar last season given their eventual 7-9 record.
The likes of Ndamukong Suh, Vita Vea, Shaquil Barrett, Lavonte David, and Jason Pierre-Paul will be key components to their success on the front end. The secondary has been bolstered with the arrival of second-round pick Antoine Winfield Jr. who has a considerable amount of upside.
It would be a huge shock if the Bucs’ were not contesting for a divisional title and playoff berth this season. The task awaiting the Panthers when they come up against them is going to be substantial.
