The Carolina Panthers 2020 depth chart has not adjusted much in the running back room and will be heavily reliant on their All-Pro Christian McCaffrey once again.

Running back is not an area of primary concern on the Carolina Panthers 2020 depth chart. It is something that has been the focal point of their success in recent seasons and this is a trend that is sure to continue long into the future.

Although the organization has adjusted other positions vastly during a flurry of activity during free agency and the NFL Draft, the Panthers 2020 depth chart looks much the same as it did following their disappointing 5-11 campaign under Ron Rivera.

New head coach Matt Rhule is going to lean on the position heavily during the first year of his expected rebuild. Quarterback Teddy Bridgewater will need time to adjust to the playbook during in-game situations after signing in free agency from the New Orleans Saints. There is also the prospect of a revamped offensive line taking its time to settle with plenty of fresh faces fighting for starting positions.

The Panthers do possess some talent at the wide receiver spot that will aid the quarterback’s progression considerably. Much is also expected of tight end Ian Thomas with more time on the field following the departure of Greg Olsen.

Simply put, the Panthers offense will go as far as their running game takes them. This responsibility is going to fall on one player in particular and Carolina has bet a significant amount on this bringing them success in the not-too-distant future.
