What impact would a 6-10 season have on the Panthers?

While a 6-10 record might not look that impressive. If the Carolina Panthers could secure this feat it would represent a significant achievement and one that can give them great confidence for the future.

Whether they can achieve this given the strength of the Panthers schedule remains to be seen. Nothing much is expected of a young roster in the immediate future, which is something that can take the pressure off and work in their favor.

Any success they get in 2020 will be an added bonus. But one would think that 6-10 would be in or around where the Panthers will end up by the time the season is over. This experience will stand them in enormously good stead as they look to become a contender in the not-too-distant future.

The Panthers schedule is going to come with plenty of struggles and inconsistencies along the way. But if they can grab the odd win here or there it is going to a significant amount of good for the rookies on the roster.

It will also be a huge help for Matt Rhule’s mindset, as it’s easy to forget that the head coach is acclimatizing to life in the big leagues. He might have a good track record of improving struggling programs in the college system. But the NFL is a completely different ball-game and the former Baylor man will need to hit the ground running to avoid further complications down the line.

One would think that of the Panthers were offered the 6-10 record in 2020 right now, they would take it. Whether they are good enough to secure it, only time will tell.
