Another notable addition to the Carolina Panthers offense next season is talented wide receiver Robby Anderson. The former New York Jet formed a close relationship with head coach Matt Rhule during their time together in college and he provides another prolific presence on the outside.

Anderson signed a two-year, $20 million deal in free agency after grabbing 52 receptions for 779 yards and five touchdowns in 2019. This was a decent level of production given the struggles surrounding the Jets. But more is expected of him with better players around the receiver on the Panthers offense.

His tandem with D.J. Moore has supreme potential providing Teddy Bridgewater can get them the ball consistently. If they prove to be a significant threat early on, it could also free up some much-needed space for Christian McCaffrey to work in.

Rhule knows exactly what Anderson can bring to the Panthers offense. The player himself will have no trouble settling into new surroundings and the initial outlook is good in terms of what he can contribute from the outset.

He received a solid grade of 68.6 from Pro Football Focus in 2019. However, with big money comes more responsibility, and Anderson will need to showcase his outstanding skill set more prominently if he is going to have the impact expected.

At the very least, Anderson should reach his numbers from last season. There is also the possibility of the player notching 1,000-yards if he hits the ground running.
