Mike Evans & Chris Godwin (Tampa Bay Buccanneers)

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers possess one of the most devastating passing attacks in the NFL. This has only been heightened with the arrival of quarterback Tom Brady and tight end Rob Gronkowski from the New England Patriots.

They also have two Pro Bowl wide receivers on the outside in Mike Evans and Chris Godwin. The latter might now be considered the No. 1 option after a breakout campaign in 2019. But it will be a case of ‘pick your poison’ regarding who Panthers draft pick Troy Pride Jr. ends up covering in their two matchups against an NFC South rival.

Evans and Godwin are now arguably the best wideout tandem in the NFL. They represent a serious problem for opposing cornerbacks and providing Brady still has enough juice in the tank to feed them the ball, big things could be in their short-term future.

This is going to be a stern test for Pride Jr. and one that he must learn from no matter what the outcome may be. Brady has been notorious for victimizing young cornerbacks during his time in New England. And the Panthers draft selection should expect more of the same when he comes up against the legendary figure in 2020.

Playing against two incredible receivers and one of the NFL’s finest ever signal-callers is going to be a tremendous asset for his overall development. But it is imperative he does not wilt under the exceptional pressure coming his way against the Bucs’ next season.
