Which roster members from the Carolina Panthers can boost their trade value in 2020?

The Carolina Panthers are in the first year of their rebuild under new head coach Matt Rhule. And more moves will need to be made next spring to speed up this process.

Given the potential salary cap space that the Carolina Panthers could have in 2021. It would be a huge surprise if they were not more prominent players in the free-agent market. The organization was working with one hand tied behind its back this offseason. But things could look far more promising this time next year.

There have been wholesale changes to the roster in recent months. This has left more questions than answers with a relatively unproven group. And it remains to be seen how they all cope with extra responsibility on their shoulders.

Things might get worse before they get better. But the Panthers’ long-term aspirations overall look far better than the dismal team that ended the 2019 campaign.

One option they do have is exploring trade possibilities for some players. This is something they did when Carolina’s decision-makers shipped quarterback Kyle Allen to the Washington Redskins for a fifth-round pick. And there are potentially even more such moves to be made during or following the season.

A large number of roster members are on short-term deals with the franchise. But there are some who have a longer-term commitment that could command some value on the trade market if they perform well in 2020.

Here are four names that could boost their trade stock this season.
