3 reasons why the Browns should sign Cam Newton

The dual-threat offense
The Cleveland Browns are absolutely loaded on offense going into 2020. They made a talented group even better during the offseason and this has only heightened expectations of mounting a challenge to claim the AFC North crown.
They boast a tremendous running back tandem in Nick Chubb and Kareem Hunt, which is arguably the NFL’s best. Head coach Kevin Stefanski masterminded the Minnesota Vikings’ run-first offense last season. So improvement is expected in this area.
Another bold move from the franchise was bringing in tight end Austin Hooper in free agency from the Atlanta Falcons. He is widely regarded as one of the most prolific pass-catching players at the position and will form a devastating partnership with David Njoku.
With Jarvis Landry and Odell Beckham Jr. on the outside at wide receiver and the presence of left tackle Jack Conklin, everything is set up for the Browns to succeed. Adding former Carolina Panthers quarterback Cam Newton would give them another game-changing player that could not only backup Baker Mayfield. But he has the potential to come in on specialist packages and make a real difference.
What Newton would have given for these types of weapons during his final two seasons with the Panthers. Although injuries eventually took their toll.
Judging by his latest workout video, the player looks well-rested, and putting him on this Browns’ offense is an intriguing proposition, to say the least. It also appears to be a good scheme fit for Newton as he looks for a route back into the NFL.
