Which players from the Cleveland Browns could the Carolina Panthers try and acquire via trade?

The Carolina Panthers have plenty of questions to answer heading into 2020. They are working with a completely new group and have a coaching staff that is relatively devoid of NFL experience.

New head coach Matt Rhule is going to be learning on the job after the Carolina Panthers hand-picked him to lead their rebuild. This was down in no small part to his outstanding record in college. But he will find out quickly that things are far different at the next level.

One way the Panthers could speed up the process of becoming a contender in the future is by exploring a quality option on the trade market. Continuing our look at possible candidates from every NFL team, we now turn our attention to the Cleveland Browns.

This could be a pivotal season in Cleveland as they look to clinch an elusive postseason berth and possible AFC North crown. The franchise massively underachieved in 2019 given the weapons at their disposal. And big things are expected next time around under new head coach Kevin Stefanski.

Much will depend on how quarterback Baker Mayfield bounces back after a disappointing sophomore campaign. He has been given some additional tools that are set to aid him considerably in the form of left tackle Jack Conklin and tight end Austin Hooper. So it would be a huge shock if the player did not start trending on an upward curve once again.

The Browns defense also welcomes back premier pass-rusher Myles Garrett from suspension next season. And this only enhances their chances of success going forward.

Here are three possible targets from the Browns if Carolina’s decision-makers choose to go in this particular direction.
