Carolina Panthers: 3 trade targets from the Dallas Cowboys
By Dean Jones
Which members of the Dallas Cowboys could the Carolina Panthers possibly try and acquire via the trade market?
The Carolina Panthers have got much work to do in order to become a contender in the near future. They have made a promising start to their rebuild under new head coach Matt Rhule. But more is going to be needed to speed up the process.
This has the potential to come next spring with more salary-cap space to work with during free agency. But the Carolina Panthers could also boost their roster with a new acquisition via the trade market.
Continuing our look at possible trade targets for the Panthers from every NFL team, we now turn our attention to the Dallas Cowboys. The franchise finally got rid of beleaguered head coach Jason Garrett following another campaign of disappointment. And expectations could not be higher following the arrival of Mike McCarthy.
One cloud currently hanging over them is the contract situation regarding quarterback Dak Prescott. The player has not yet signed his franchise tender and reportedly turned down an extension worth more than $30 million a year.
The longer this goes on, the more problematic it is going to be for the Cowboys. They piled more pressure on Prescott by bringing in free-agent Andy Dalton. But the signal-caller has remained steadfast in his belief that he is worth more than what Dallas has currently offered.
This looks to be a loaded roster once again that has the potential to make a real Super Bowl run. They had a strong draft that includes receiver CeeDee Lamb, who has all the makings of a star at the next level.
Here are three players that could improve the Panthers if they chose to go in the trade direction.
