Here are four players who could find themselves on the roster bubble heading into training camp with the Carolina Panthers.

To say things could go either way for the Carolina Panthers in 2020 would be something of an understatement. There is plenty of talent on both sides of the ball for a massive turnaround in fortunes. But their lack of time together before the new season has the potential to impact them more than most.

The NFL formally announced the decision to cut the preseason to just two games. This further hampers the Carolina Panthers and their chances of becoming a cohesive unit before they take the field week one against the Las Vegas Raiders. It also leaves those on the 53-man roster bubble with limited time to make a lasting impression on the team’s brand-new coaching staff.

There is even the possibility of rosters getting cut to between 75-80 in order to make things a little bit safer during training camp. Some tough decisions will need to be made by new head coach Matt Rhule and general manager Marty Hurney. And their outcomes on personnel will go a long way to determining just how well they get on in 2020.

While some players already have their places well and truly secured. Others will be nervously awaiting the start of training camp as they look to move away from the bubble. The NFL is a ruthless business at this time of year. And it always leaves some veterans facing an uncertain future as younger players look to step in and take their place.

That is the nature of the beast. And it will probably be no different over the coming weeks in Carolina. Here are four veteran players who find themselves on the roster ahead of what is going to be a pivotal training camp for the organization.
