Which members of the Carolina Panthers have the biggest points to prove in 2020?

There is a completely different look to the Carolina Panthers following an immensely busy offseason of activity. Familiar faces that were once idolized by the team’s fanbase have moved on. And the new regime has wasted no time in completely gutting the roster in a bid to become a contender once again.

The likes of Cam Newton and Greg Olsen departed for pastures new. And the Panthers were dealt another significant blow with the news of Luke Kuechly’s shock retirement after eight seasons. While there are still plenty of players who can make a real difference on the roster. Others go into the 2020 campaign with more questions than answers regarding their ability to contribute.

Some players have more to prove than most. So it will be interesting to see how they cope with this added pressure.

New head coach Matt Rhule will get a good look at his young roster during the season. And while this might come with a winning record. It will provide the former Baylor man with tremendous insight regarding what sort of characters he wants around the team going forward.

Rebuilding in the NFL is never easy. And projects like the one currently transpiring in Carolina normally take a considerable period before results begin to show.

There will plenty of growing pains along the way. But how this group comes together and develops as the season goes on could have substantial ramifications on their long-term aspirations.
