Which players from the Los Angeles Chargers might the Carolina Panthers look to acquire via the trade market to boost their fortunes?

The Carolina Panthers have been incredibly bold with the moves they made during the offseason so far. A new regime was bound to come with considerable changes. But few expected such a widescale overhaul.

Head coach Matt Rhule is the man who will be tasked with leading the Panthers back to prominence. This is something he has a good track record of doing in college. And the organization is hoping this sort of mentality can make a smooth transition to the pros.

Much more will be needed if Carolina wants to harbor realistic ambitions of a postseason berth in the coming years. They are projects to be bigger players in the free-agent market with more salary-cap space in 2021. But whether this is going to be reduced due to lack of revenue in the current climate remains to be seen.

Another avenue the Panthers could go down is exploring possible trade options. This is something they have already done in Rhule’s first few months if a player of interest such as veteran left tackle Russell Okung becomes available.

Continuing our feature looking at possible Panthers’ trade options with each NFL team, we now turn our attention to the Los Angeles Chargers. The team is also embarking on a new era following the departure of long-serving quarterback Philip Rivers. And who wins the starting job in his place is going to be a major factor in their overall fortunes.

Experienced signal-caller Tyrod Taylor will battle it out with high-end draft pick Justin Herbert during camp. And the Chargers appear loaded with talent elsewhere on both sides of the ball.

Here are three players that could be of interest to the Panthers is they choose to go in this direction.
