Which members of the Carolina Panthers could emerge as possible training camp MVP candidates in the coming weeks?

The Carolina Panthers are back in the building for the first time this offseason as preparations gather pace for their week one opener against the Las Vegas Raiders. It has been an immensely disrupted time for everyone across the NFL due to the current climate. And it remains to be seen whether further measures will need to be taken down the line.

New head coach Matt Rhule has got his work cut out in his first real taste of leadership at the next level. The Carolina Panthers placed a tremendous amount of faith in the former Baylor man to bring his college success to the pros. So what happens in the next few weeks will be crucial to their overall fortunes.

Plenty of players will be fighting for notoriety during camp. With no preseason games on the schedule this year. Those that catch the eye during team drills have the scope to push their way either onto the 53-man roster or a more prominent role within the organization.

There are always some players that come out of nowhere and make a name for themselves. They might be few and far between this time around given their lack of time to impress on the field in a competitive setting. But the Panthers are currently in the first year of their substantial rebuild, so there might be more opportunity in Carolina than most places in 2020.

Although little is expected of them next season. They will need to show some sort of progression to ensure that things are heading in the right direction. That might be easier said than done given the tough NFC South and the overall difficulty of Carolina’s schedule. So it is simply going to be a case of putting the roster out there and seeing whether they will sink or swim.

Here are four potential candidates for training camp MVP for the Panthers in the coming weeks.
