Panthers: 3 potential Pac-12 opt-out replacements for Kawann Short

Carolina Panthers Player No. 2: Tuli Letuligasenoa (Washington)
If the Carolina Panthers choose to wait until lower down the 2021 NFL Draft for a potential replacement for Kawann Short, then Tuli Letuligasenoa is a name that should be high on their shortlist of options.
The Washington defensive tackle burst onto the scene in 2019 with some outstanding play for the Huskies. And much more is now expected of Letuligasenoa heading into his second full season.
There is a real chance that the lineman would probably stay within the college system if the Pac-12 players go through with their threats to opt-out on health grounds. Letuligasenoa’s draft stock might take a big hit without a second year to showcase what he has to offer. And this will be something that the Panthers draft team will no doubt keep a close eye on.
Letuligasenoa has good size for the position. And he plays much higher than his 6-foot-2 frame. There is a high ceiling regarding the player due to his relative lack of experience. But whether this will be enough for teams to take a gamble on him in the first three rounds of the draft is another matter.
Teams like to see two or three years of consistent performances at the college level. Letuligasenoa has just one season for scouts across the league to pick apart. So it remains to be seen whether this will be enough if he decides to take his NFL chance next spring.
