We picked out four reasons why the Carolina Panthers will be better in 2020 than they were last season.

Expectations are relatively low for the Carolina Panthers heading into the season. This is to be expected when one considers the incredible offseason of change across the board. And their task will not be helped with a lack of face-to-face time together that also includes no preseason games on the schedule.

The Carolina Panthers were not exactly pulling up trees in 2019. Apart from a strong run midway through the campaign, their performances could be classed as lackluster if we are being generous. New head coach Matt Rhule knows what sort of task awaits him next season and beyond. And it will be interesting to see just how much of his ethos the roster has taken on board in difficult circumstances.

Their performance during the previous campaign hasn’t exactly raised the bar for the new regime. There is a blank canvas for Rhule and his coaching staff to work with. And how much they can get across to their players during training camp will go a long way to determining their fortunes.

It is not going to be easy by any stretch of the imagination. The NFC South will be a brutal and unforgiving place in 2020. And if the Panthers are not ready to go from the off, it could very well be a long season for this group.

That being said, if things click right away then there is a real chance they could improve on their efforts. Here are four reasons why the Panthers will be better in 2020 than they were last season.
