Carolina Panthers: 3 matchups to circle on 2020 schedule
Carolina Panthers vs Minnesota Vikings (Week 12)
The Minnesota Vikings drafted Teddy Bridgewater with the No. 32 overall pick in the 2014 NFL Draft. When they took the Louisville prospect they believed he would be the future franchise quarterback of the team for years to come. Unfortunately, a significant knee injury forced them to turn to other options and ultimately part ways with the one-time Pro Bowler.
Since then, Bridgewater spent a couple of years as a backup with the New Orleans Saints before finally getting another chance to be a franchise signal-caller with the Carolina Panthers this season.
Bridgewater will likely have a little added motivation to prove to his former team that he is still the player that they expected him to be when they drafted him in the first round six years ago.
The entire team will need to play with a chip on their shoulders in order to beat what many expect to be a playoff-bound Vikings team. This matchup could be a great chemistry builder for a Carolina team that features a lot of new players at key positions.
If the Panthers could leave Minnesota with a victory by rallying behind their new starting quarterback. Then they could set the tone for what the future has in store for the franchise.
