Which players could be classed as the most disappointing from training camp with the Carolina Panthers this year?

This year’s training camp has been a real eye-opener for everyone associated with the Carolina Panthers. Continuing concerns surrounding COVID-19 made this the most disrupted preparation period in modern times. And it has the scope to impact this new-look roster more than most.

There is little denying that the Carolina Panthers will be up against it in 2020. Their coaching staff is devoid of any real experience in an NFL environment, they parted ways with most prominent locker room leaders during free agency, and a lack of preseason games is also a significant factor that should not be overlooked.

Matt Rhule has made an impressive start to life as a head coach in difficult circumstances. He has everyone pulling in the same direction and his decision to increase the intensity of practices is something else that is sure to stand them in good stead.

It is simply going to be a case of wait and see relating to the Panthers and their chances next season. Seeing how they cope in the face of stern competition is the only true way for Rhule to know what sort of players he is working with and just how many deserve to be around long-term during this period of transition.

Training camp has brought out the best in some. But others have wilted under the pressure in their bid to stake a claim with the organization.

Here are four players that could be classed as the biggest disappointments from Carolina’s camp this year.
