Who are the four most important Carolina Panthers players when they travel to Atlanta to take on the Falcons in a crucial Week 5 matchup?

There is plenty at stake for the Carolina Panthers as they get set to take on the Atlanta Falcons. A third victory in succession would get Matt Rhule’s men to a winning record for the first time the season. More importantly, it would give them a tremendous amount of confidence ahead of some challenging games upcoming on the schedule.

Despite history being against them, this is a winnable contest for the Panthers. They are building momentum with each passing week with a talented young core that is only going to get better over time. And the Falcons are seemingly in disarray after a dismal start to the season that sees them at 0-4.

Atlanta shouldn’t be underestimated by any stretch of the imagination. Their record would look far different had it not been for two unbelievable collapses that have become something of a concerning trademark for the organization under the tenure of head coach Dan Quinn, who might already be past the point of no return regardless of the eventual result in this one.

If Carolina can get off to a hot start as they have done of late, then it is only going to increase the uncertainty for the Falcons. They do have some exceptional offensive weapons that shouldn’t be overlooked. But their suspect defense can be exploited by a Panthers passing attack that has been superb through four weeks of the season.

Let’s take a look at four Panthers players who could be classed as the most important in their pursuit of a first win in Atlanta since 2014.
