Patrick Mahomes will throw his second interception of the season.

Here’s another bold prediction the Carolina Panthers need to make a reality if they expect to win this game.

Patrick Mahomes has only thrown one interception the entire season in Week 5 against the Las Vegas Raiders. Coincidentally, it was also the only game Kansas City has lost this year. One interception or forced turnover for the Panthers at the right time on Sunday could be critical for any chance they have at an upset.

The defense has been banged up all season, but it looks like the Panthers should have a few key players returning to the field this week. Jeremy Chinn is listed as questionable with a knee injury, but Donte Jackson was not on the final injury report, cornerback Rasul Douglas is back from the reserve/COVID-19 list, and defensive end Yetur Gross-Matos returned to the active roster.

The key for the Panthers to pick off the Super Bowl MVP is to get pressure. Great quarterbacks eat defenses alive when they feel comfortable in the pocket. Even if they can’t get sacks, defensive coordinator Phil Snow needs to throw the zone defense out the window and put his men in positions to get some hits on Mahomes.
