Carolina Panthers at Chiefs: Prediction

There’s no getting away from it. The Carolina Panthers have their work cut out this weekend.

This is still a young group who are learning all the time, so expecting them to go to Kansas City and get a positive result appears unrealistic, to say the least. They might be able to keep it close for a large portion. But the Chiefs simply have too much firepower.

Gaining any sort of positives from the game will be a step in the right direction. Carolina’s season is in danger of falling into a real slump if they cannot turn things around sooner rather than later and although it might not come in Week 9, there is still enough on this roster to emerge from the campaign with more positives than negatives.

It’s going to be immensely difficult for the Panthers at Arrowhead Stadium. The Chiefs are riding on the crest of a wave and look unbeatable at present. But if they take Carolina too lightly, it might see the game become closer than everyone expects.

Prediction: Carolina Panthers 20, Chiefs 35.

This is a game that the Panthers can play without any expectations. Nobody is expecting them to do anything major at the Chiefs – which might work in their favor – but even the staunchest Carolina fan would have to admit that their prospects of victory appear bleak.
