What would Ertz bring to the Carolina Panthers?

Make no mistake, if the Carolina Panthers could bring in Zach Ertz via trade this offseason it would propel their offense to even greater heights. Keeping the likes of Curtis Samuel and Taylor Moton will also be crucial for this and if extensions for the influential duo can be agreed upon, then the sky is the limit in this possible scenario.

Giving quarterback Teddy Bridgewater a prominent pass-catching presence across the middle would be hugely beneficial. He hasn’t had this sort of security blanket during his first year under center and getting Ertz into the mix would also free-up space for other prominent playmakers to do damage on the outside.

Picture a passing attack that can utilize Ertz, Robby Anderson, D.J. Moore, Samuel, and Christian McCaffrey. Opposing defenses would have nightmares trying to cover everybody consistently and it would leave Bridgewater with no more excuses in the second year of his free-agent deal.

If the Eagles were to put Ertz on the trading block, then are sure to be plenty of suitors for a player who is among the best in the business. The Panthers need to act fast in order to get this sort of move over the line. But the benefits are there for all to see.

This is a crucial upcoming offseason for Carolina. The decisions they make regarding player personnel will have huge ramifications on their current rebuild and trading for someone like Ertz would be a great start.
