5 Panthers players we should see more of after the bye
By Dean Jones
Which Carolina Panthers players could we see more of after the bye?
There is definitely something to work with at the Carolina Panthers for Matt Rhule. The head coach has a big job on turning the organization back into one that is seriously considered in the postseason talk and although their 4-8 record at the Week 13 bye might suggest otherwise, the foundations are there to make this dream possible.
The Carolina Panthers boast some exciting young players on both sides of the ball. Providing they bring in some additional weapons during free agency and the 2021 NFL Draft then it is only going to help matters next year and beyond.
It might also be worth some promising youngsters currently on the roster getting some additional minutes that could aid their progress massively in the months and years to come.
Let’s take a look at five Panthers players that we should see more of during the remaining four games of the 2020 season.
Player No. 1
Dennis Daley – Carolina Panthers OG
Dennis Daley seemed to do enough for a starting position at guard during training camp. But injury has seen him on the outside looking in for the most part.
The player has been used sparingly so far by Carolina’s coaching staff, who are persisting with Chris Reed on the left-hand side of the interior despite his relative lack of production. That is something that might just change over the next four games, which should give Daley a deserved chance to stake a claim for a more increased role in 2021.
It’s not as if the former sixth-round pick could be any worse than Reed, who has emerged as the sort of weak link that will cost the Panthers down the stretch if things continue.
