Joe Brady – Carolina Panthers OC

Another member of the Carolina Panthers who would get a huge shot in the arm if Deshaun Watson joined the organization is Joe Brady. The offensive coordinator got a bunch of head coaching interviews this offseason after just one year of play-calling at the next level. But even though they came to nothing in the end, a top job might not be far away.

Having Watson under center would boost his chances significantly next time around.

Teddy Bridgewater’s limitations are there for all to see. Although the signal-caller and Brady worked together during their time with the New Orleans Saints, the former first-round pick didn’t do his coordinator any favors down the stretch of close contests that eventually saw the quarterback go 0-8 on game-winning or tying drives in 2020.

Again, Watson would change all this in an instant.

Players like Watson do not become available on the trade market every day. And even less so at the peak of their powers.

Brady would be able to open up the playbook an endless amount with a mobile signal-caller like Watson who has absolutely no trouble airing it out when needed. If this scenario comes to fruition and Brady thrives next season because of it, then a head coaching offer won’t be far behind.
