Seth Roberts – WR

Much like Pharoh Cooper, there was a chance for Seth Roberts to secure the No. 4 receiver spot and really make a name for himself after catching the eye during his stint with the Baltimore Ravens. He was given a one-year deal by the Carolina Panthers in the 2020 offseason and managed to leave a lasting impression at training camp.

Roberts was a non-factor in the passing game. He was targeted just six times in seven games before the Panthers finally put the former West Alabama star out of his misery and onto the waiver wire.

This was the worst-case scenario for Roberts. Carolina was hoping his big frame could make a difference both or the middle and in the red zone, but for whatever reason he just didn’t fit in once competitive action got underway.

The wideout made it onto the Green Bay Packers’ practice squad shortly after without ever making his presence felt on the 53-man roster. What comes next for Roberts is uncertain and it will be interesting to see whether or not the receiver can stake a claim for playing time elsewhere.

Not many will remember Roberts ever playing for the Panthers in 2020. And in all honestly, he wasn’t missed in the slightest thanks to the strength of weapons further up the depth chart.
