Trey Lance’s accuracy

One of the more notable things to take away from Trey Lance’s pro day was his accuracy. The quarterback looked supremely confident and his timing with receivers was first-class, so providing his transition to the next level is a smooth one, he should be able to make a real go of things.

Lance might be coming from a small school with little in the way of competition. But his demeanor and confidence are there for all to see. He did miss a couple of throws, which was to be expected in this sort of environment. However, it was very good overall.

Whether being a big fish in a small pond before coming to the NFL is going to take a longer period of adjustment is up for debate. So the Carolina Panthers need to have a good sit down with the prospect to judge for themselves whether his character fits in with what the team is trying to install.

The talent where Lance is concerned is intriguing, to put it mildly.

But whether another team ahead of the Panthers could beat them to it is a realistic proposition at this juncture.
