3 potential trade offers for Panthers to land the No. 2 overall pick

Carolina Panthers trade offer No. 3
We are not saying for one second that the New York Jets will accept any offer that potentially comes their way from the Carolina Panthers. They worked hard to be in leading contention to select Trevor Lawrence before two wins late in the 2020 campaign saw them leapfrogged by the Jacksonville Jaguars in the worst-record sweepstakes.
The Tank for Trevor brigade was less than pleased with this turn of events. But the organization will now have to work with what they’ve got and considering the potential Zach Wilson has once he gets to the next level, it’s not a bad consolation prize.
Only a king’s ransom will tempt them, and that might not even be enough.
However, three picks this year, a second-round selection in 2022, and first-rounders in 2023 and 2024 is a big offer for a prospect who didn’t have much in the way of college competition at BYU and was playing in front of an elite offensive line.
Carolina made their bed when they signed Teddy Bridgewater and beat the Washington Football Team in Week 16, although this was a hard game to lose against Dwayne Haskins despite the Panthers going scoreless in the second half.
Their best possible option might be to see how the draft plays out in front of them before perhaps dealing with the Cincinnati Bengals or Miami Dolphins, but fans should get ready to see Bridgewater once again in 2021 when it looked earlier this offseason that wouldn’t be the case.
