Tommy Tremble – Carolina Panthers TE

  • Round No. 3 (Pick No. 83)

Getting another promising young tight end was a big need for the Carolina Panthers heading into the 2021 NFL Draft. Acquiring Notre Dame‘s Tommy Tremble gives them a violet blocking presence that comes into the league with a significant amount going for him.

Tremble’s ability to protect and create holes at the second level is already NFL-ready. His impressive muscular frame makes him a good scheme fit in Carolina after Chris Manhertz departed in free agency for the Jacksonville Jaguars and if he can develop his ability in the passing game, the Panthers could have a superstar on their hands.

Tremble didn’t get much of a look for the Fighting Irish in terms of targets. However, there were some eye-catching flashes of what he might be capable of and if the prospect can make a contribution in this area, he will undoubtedly become the complete package and something Carolina has been crying out for after they decided to let Greg Olsen leave in free agency prior to the 2020 season.

This has the potential to be another huge addition to the Panthers. Tremble’s intangibles are off the charts and judging by his comments during media availability following the selection, the player is not short on confidence and should fit in extremely well within a locker room that is loaded with young talent.
