Terrace Marshall Jr. – Carolina Panthers WR

  • Round No. 2 (Pick No. 59)
  • 2021 role – No. 3/4 receiver

This was not considered a bug need for the Carolina Panthers during the early stages of the draft. But when a first-round talent at wide receiver fell into their laps at No. 59, it probably forced them to change direction slightly.

Terrace Marshall Jr. should be able to make his presence felt from the word go. He has previous experience working with Joe Brady from their time at LSU and offers something a little bit different to what Carolina already has at their disposal.

Expect to see Marshall improve production across the middle and in the red zone. Brady will know how to get the best out of the prospect, so early expectations are high on a loaded passing attack.

Jaycee Horn – Carolina Panthers CB

  • Round No. 1 (Pick No. 8)
  • 2021 role – Starting outside cornerback

The debate around whether the Panthers should have taken Justin Fields at No. 8 will not be going away anytime soon. But few would argue that Jaycee Horn doesn’t fill a big need and might emerge as a shutdown press cornerback the organization has been lacking for quite some time.

Horn will get plenty of responsibility early, which he is more than ready for. A.J. Bouye is suspended for the first two games of the 2020 season which will result in a starting job in Week 1. So even though rookie prospects at the position tend to go through more struggles than most, it should be a fantastic learning experience for the South Carolina product.

Expect to see intensity, physicality, and athleticism in abundance. But it will be a baptism of fire for Horn against some elite receiving talent residing in the NFC South.
