3 realistic targets for the Carolina Panthers in 2021

Carolina Panthers have a top-10 defense
This target might seem like a little way off judging by what we saw in the first half of 2020. But considering the strides made by Phil Snow’s unit down the stretch and the additions they’ve made this offseason, then this has the scope to be a dominant defense next time around.
The Carolina Panthers are fortunate to have some outstanding defensive playmakers across the board. Derrick Brown, Brian Burns, and Yetur Gross-Matos lead the charge on the line, with the duo of Donte Jackson and Jeremy Chinn capable of making things happen in the secondary.
Couple this with a solid linebacker corps that was bolstered with the free-agent signing of Denzel Perryman and this looks like a unit that will be physical, athletic, and fun to watch.
But that’s not all.
Carolina got their hands on a potential shutdown cornerback with Jaycee Horn at No. 8 overall in the 2021 NFL Draft to go with promising rookies such as Daviyon Nixon and Keith Taylor Jr. Other newcomers set to play a leading part are Haason Reddick, A.J. Bouye, Morgan Fox, and DaQuan Jones, so it has a formidable feel to it from the outside looking in.
Providing things click into place right away, there is nothing to suggest the Panthers cannot have a top-10 defense next season.
