It’s hard not to love Scott Fitterer

Panthers Confidential also gave fans a chance to find out a little more about their new general manager. Scott Fitterer came from the Seattle Seahawks with a big reputation this offseason and judging by his efforts so far, it’s clear the Carolina Panthers made the right hire to replace Marty Hurney.

It wasn’t just the draft movement – which was magnificent – that stood out during the program. Fitterer clearly values the opinion of his scouts, coaching staff, and team owner David Tepper, who were all heavily involved in the entire process on their way to 11 selections throughout the event.

Fitterer seems to treat every staff member working alongside him the same. He was keen to praise others rather than take the credit himself and came into the organization with the drive and purpose that instantly won over the majority of the team’s loyal support.

As stated previously, this was so refreshing to see and Tepper must be especially delighted by the level of impact Fitterer has made in a short space of time.

Viewers also got the opportunity to see Fitterer the family man, which was a nice personal touch to what was an enthralling 34 minutes.

This is only the start for Fitterer, who will know more than most that there is much work to be done to get the Panthers where he wants them to be. However, his start to life as the primary decision-maker couldn’t have gone much better.
