Which positional groups on the Carolina Panthers appear to be the strongest after a busy period of recruitment this offseason?

Few expected the Carolina Panthers to sit on their hands this offseason. The team needed to make some substantial improvements across almost every area of their roster and the introduction of general manager Scott Fitterer was another key component in their recruitment process that has gone far better than imagined in the current financial climate.

Plenty of comings and goings emerged from a frenzied period of free agency, with the Panthers working miracles on a reduced salary cap to bring in some prominent veterans who should assist. This was matched by some serious moves up and down the draft board by Fitterer to give Carolina 11 selections and even a fourth-rounder from the Houston Texans in 2022.

It’s been eventful, of that there is little doubt.

But it will count for nothing if progress isn’t made on the gridiron in a competitive setting.

That will be a job for Matt Rhule and his coaching staff, who got their roster together for the first time during OTAs this week. The stakes are high for the head coach in Year 2 of his tenure, so unless there isn’t a clear sign things are heading in the right direction, the pressure will mount.

With this in mind, we took a look at the Panthers roster and picked out the four strongest positional groups in 2021.
