Where will the Carolina Panthers use Jeremy Chinn?
The smart money would probably say that Jeremy Chinn will start the 2021 season at safety providing the Carolina Panthers don’t bring in another veteran capable of starting right away between now and then.
However, Chinn will not be a stereotypical player at the position.
One of the great things about the second-round pick is his instinctive ability to be around the football consistently. The Panthers should take advantage of this and allow Chinn the freedom to move around the field as he sees fit and depending on how each play develops.
He is just that good.
Carolina should be much-improved at cornerback following the additions of Jaycee Horn, A.J. Bouye, and Keith Taylor Jr. Couple this with a defensive front that should generate pressure more consistently and the acquisition of inside linebacker Denzel Perryman from the Los Angeles Chargers, and this is a unit that could be special in 2021.
Having Chinn fly around the field also helps.
This is one of the league’s brightest young defensive players and if he can build on a promising first campaign in the pros, the sky is the limit.

The Panthers are incredibly fortunate to have a player like Chinn, who is a strong character with a knack for inspiring others around him. He is a game-changer in every sense of the word and if Carolina uses him in the correct fashion, big things could be in his future.
