4 best kept secrets on the Carolina Panthers roster in 2021

Christian Miller – Carolina Panthers OLB
One thing that is going overlooked where the Carolina Panthers are concerned this offseason is the return of Christian Miller.
The outside linebacker opted out of the 2020 season due to COVID-19 health concerns – which is fine in the circumstances – but the former Alabama standout needs to hit the ground running this offseason in front of a coaching staff and general manager who weren’t around when he was drafted.
Miller has all the physical attributes needed to make a real go of things at the next level. He performed adequately during his time on the field as a rookie and with a little more refinement to his game, a bigger role may be in the offing within a positional group that still lacks some quality depth.
Much will obviously depend on how hard Miller has been working on his game away from the gridiron. He is a strong enough character to keep focused despite choosing to take a year out, but the NFL waits for no man and unless the player makes his presence felt early, it could bring some complications.
That being said, there is a lot to like about Miller and what he could potentially give the Panthers next season.
This is going to be like his rookie season all over again and it’s important he makes the most out of any chances that come his way during the preseason to keep him in Carolina’s plans.
