What are some of the biggest challenges awaiting the Carolina Panthers during what is sure to be another eventful 2021 season?

It’s hard to gauge just where the Carolina Panthers stand in the grand scheme of things at this stage of the offseason. There is plenty of talent on both sides of the football, of that there is little doubt. But we won’t know for sure just what to expect from a young, athletic roster until they get down to business on the gridiron.

The Panthers cannot be criticized for sitting on their hands during free agency or the 2021 NFL Draft. They were incredibly active in pursuit of further progress next season and at least from the outside looking in, things look far more promising providing the necessary work is put in during the preparation period.

Matt Rhule has got everyone pulling in the same direction and in new general manager Scott Fitterer, the Panthers have someone with a sense of purpose and who knows what it takes to get the right sort of quality into the organization.

Couple this with a more structured offseason that also includes the welcome return of preseason games, and it might see Carolina hit the ground running when they take the field in Week 1 against the New York Jets.

Having full capacity back at Bank of America Stadium will also assist greatly, so everything is in position for the Panthers to build on two consecutive five-win seasons.

There are some obstacles to overcome for this to be achieved. Here are the four biggest challenges the Panthers need to figure out before competitive action gets underway.
