Which Carolina Panthers players could benefit from a return to some semblance of normality this offseason ahead of the 2021 campaign?

To say the Carolina Panthers and others across the league faced some big challenges in 2020 would be a big understatement. COVID-19 forced the NFL into a drastic change in the usual offseason program, which saw training camp limited, virtual OTAs, and no preseason games on the calendar.

This is something that transitioned into the regular season with no fans in the stands until late in the campaign, which brought a surreal feel to games that also came with a significant period of adjustment from all involved.

Thankfully, with vaccine rollouts continuing at a rapid rate, there is now hope that things can start returning to normal. The league is planning to be at full capacity in the stands in 2021, preseason contests are on the calendar once again, and there are no social distancing measures in place regarding practices.

This is going to benefit the Panthers considerably.

They were working with a new-look roster last summer and didn’t build the chemistry needed to mount a playoff push in the first season of Matt Rhule’s reign. But there is every chance significant progress can be made this time around providing their new additions and previous roster members come together quickly.

With this in mind, let’s take a look at five Panthers players who will benefit most from a return to normalcy this offseason.
