Which statistical categories could make some strides for the Carolina Panthers during the 2021 season after a strong period of recruitment?
The Carolina Panthers have plenty to prove heading into the 2021 season. Year 1 under Matt Rhule was something of a lost campaign despite the team being largely competitive against leading Super Bowl contenders, so it will be interesting to see just what adjustments are made during a hugely important preparation period for the franchise.
At least from the outside looking in, the Panthers have the talent to make more of an impression next time around. They have a talented young roster who are all pulling in the same direction, which was reflected by strong attendances at OTAs over the last few weeks.
Just how each individual performs with more expectations on their shoulders remains to be seen.
They are now familiar with the scheme implemented by the coaching staff and the return of preseason games is something else that should stand them in good stead when Carolina takes the field in Week 1 against the New York Jets in front of a packed Bank of America Stadium once again.
Carolina Panthers should be fun to watch in 2021.
At the very least, the Panthers should be worth watching next season. If quarterback Sam Darnold reignites his career with the organization following his trade from the Jets, they don’t appear that far away from entering the playoff picture in some capacity.
Having a solid roster on paper is one thing, But getting it done when it counts is something else and this is where the Panthers have faltered over the last couple of seasons.
With this in mind, let’s take a look at four key statistics that could see a big improvement where Carolina is concerned in 2021.
