What exactly do the Carolina Panthers have at OT in 2021?

Taylor Moton – Carolina Panthers RT
There might be plenty of questions surrounding who is going to man the blindside, but the Carolina Panthers can be safe in the knowledge they possess one of the best in the business on the opposite side of their protection.
Taylor Moton has been ultra-consistent over the last three years and keeping him around in some shape or form was absolutely critical for the Panthers this offseason.
The former second-round pick out of Western Michigan will be playing the 2021 season on the franchise tag if a long-term agreement cannot be reached. If Moton ends up raising his level of production once again, it’s going to see his demands go through the roof.
Carolina has a real gem in Moton and needs to give him the financial security player is looking for.
Few would argue he hasn’t earned it.
There are some who are speculating whether the Panthers will move Moton over to left tackle this season. While it would be a surprise to see him start on the opposite edge, if things don’t go according to plan with whoever gets the nod, it’s not out of the question by any stretch.
Only time will tell on that one. But there is no disputing the fact Moton is going to play a substantial role in any success that comes Carolina’s way when competitive action rolls around.
