What exactly do the Carolina Panthers have at OT in 2021?

Cam Erving and Trenton Scott
If the Carolina Panthers end up playing Brady Christensen on the interior, there is a real problem they need to solve at left tackle.
As stated previously, there is a slight chance Taylor Moton can shift over if Carolina feels like this is the best way to go. But relying on their other options to perform consistently looks to be a gamble judging by what we’ve seen so far.
The Panthers made a surprising move early in free agency by bringing in Cam Erving, who might have a Super Bowl ring to show from his career so far but little in the way of solid production to back it up.
Erving has looked like a lost sheep whenever he’s lined up at tackle, so he might be best suited to play guard. The Dallas Cowboys didn’t see enough in the former first-round pick to keep him around beyond this season, so it remains to be seen whether the player can turn things around in Carolina.
Another potential option is Trenton Scott, who was brought back after arriving late to the party in 2020. The veteran gave up two sacks and conceded three penalties from 342 snaps on his way to a 60.2 grade from Pro Football Focus. Hopefully, he can build on this with more familiarity in the scheme.
