Robby Anderson – Carolina Panthers WR

There’s been plenty of speculation surrounding just what the future holds for Robby Anderson beyond this season. The wide receiver produced more than anybody thought possible during his first campaign with the Carolina Panthers, going over 1,000 yards for the first time and proving he can be an influential figure all over the field.

Anderson’s decision to link up once again with his former college coach Matt Rhule was the right call to make. It’s clear he was being held back on the New York Jets and providing he keeps this up next season, a bumper deal will be coming his way.

The big question is whether that will be in Carolina or somewhere else.

Anderson won’t be short of suitors if he can put together another four-figure campaign and increased his touchdowns. He won’t want anything messing with his money when it’s time to head to the bargaining table, so expect to see maximum effort from the Temple product.

Carolina might have more salary-cap space to work with. However, they restructured a lot of contracts to free up funds needed this spring and also have to pay more important roster members such as Taylor Moton and D.J. Moore sooner rather than later.

All Anderson can do is give them a tough decision to make with yet more outstanding highlights on the field. But either way, he will know a big-money contract is coming his way regardless.
