Brady Christensen – Carolina Panthers OL

The Carolina Panthers made a bold move up in the third round to select Brady Christensen. His production at BYU was nothing short of sensational and if he can carry this momentum into the pro ranks, Carolina will have a real player on their hands.

Just where Christensen is best suited is a hot topic of debate. He protected Zach Wilson’s blindside extremely well in college, but the Panthers gave the player a higher grade at guard during the evaluation process.

This has a lot to do with Christensen’s length, even though his athleticism is off the charts for a player at the position. Carolina has some serious questions to answer regarding their protection outside of Taylor Moton and Matt Paradis, but it’ll be a huge surprise if the rookie wasn’t starting somewhere.

Christensen is going to be used in multiple positions before the coaching staff comes to a formal conclusion about where he’s going to play.

How he performs is something worth keeping a close eye on. And the Panthers need their newest lineman to hit the ground running in pursuit of giving Sam Darnold the time he needs in the pocket to go through his progressions.

Hopes are high for Christensen wherever he slots into the protection. If he lives up to expectations from the word go, it might end up being a draft steal when it’s all said and done.
