5 Carolina Panthers rookies who could steal starting jobs in 2021

Tommy Tremble – Carolina Panthers TE
It’s hard not to love the way Tommy Tremble goes about his business. His infectious enthusiasm is matched by a violent approach to almost every down, which made him an instant fan favorite at Notre Dame and someone the Carolina Panthers were clearly excited to bring on board.
Tremble might be a work in progress when it comes to catching the football. But there is a big opportunity the prospect can eventually emerge as the complete tight end package if the necessary adjustments are made with Carolina’s coaching staff.
The Panthers are going to give Dan Arnold a shot at being Greg Olsen’s long-term successor following his arrival from the Arizona Cardinals in free agency.
However, Tremble will see plenty of reps in an H-back role and could emerge as a surprise in the passing game if opportunities come his way.
Tremble is already developing a cult following within Carolina’s passionate fanbase without playing a competitive down as yet. This will obviously count for nothing if he cannot make a lasting impression when he steps onto the gridiron.
What’s important for Treble is to maximize his contribution in areas of strength such as blocking while he brings on the more technical aspect of the tight end position in Year 1.
If he can do this, then Tremble is a sure-fire No. 1 option and perhaps sooner rather than later.
