Which players could emerge as dream trade candidates for the Carolina Panthers in 2022?

If there’s one thing that can be said for the Carolina Panthers under their new regime, it’s that those in power are not afraid to go bold with their decision-making if they think a certain move can benefit things on the field.

General manager Scott Fitterer promised to be in on every deal when he arrived from the Seattle Seahawks, which has proven true so far during a frenzied period of activity in free agency, the draft, and in the trade market.

The biggest gamble was to bring in Sam Darnold and ship Teddy Bridgewater off for nothing more than a sixth-round pick. This has the scope to define the early tenures of both Fitterer and head coach Matt Rhule, who’ll be on the lookout for his third starting quarterback in as many seasons if it doesn’t come off.

Carolina Panthers have plenty of young players on their roster heading into 2021.

Things look far more promising for the Panthers heading into next season than at any stage over the last few years. Carolina has plenty of dynamic young players all developing at the same time, so if further strides are made during the upcoming campaign it will make them an attractive destination with more financial resources available.

Making another big splash in the trade market is something they will consider if the Panthers end up being one or two pieces from being a legitimate contender. Here are six dream targets they should consider in 2022.
