D.J. Moore – Carolina Panthers WR

In terms of decisions surrounding contract extensions, this one is also a no-brainer for the Carolina Panthers.

D.J. Moore is a sensational wide receiver that has all the talent in the world. If he develops solid chemistry with quarterback Sam Darnold in 2021, it’s going to come with a Pro Bowl-caliber campaign from the former first-round pick.

Considering Moore has endured some substantial signal-caller changes during his time in Carolina, to put up consecutive 1,000-yard seasons is a remarkable achievement. He is widely regarded as one of the most underrated players across the league and if further strides are made in Year 4 of his professional career, there is just no telling what he can achieve.

The Panthers didn’t wait long to pick up Moore’s fifth-year option this offseason. This means he won’t become a free agent until 2023 but another exceptional campaign from the wideout will surely leave Carolina with no option other than to extend him before then.

Few would moan about that.

Moore is an integral part of the team’s plans. It’s easy to forget he’s still just 24-years-old with plenty of football ahead of him, so a huge payday is well within his grasp if the player reaches or even exceeds expectations in 2021.
