4 pros and cons to the Carolina Panthers gambling on Deshaun Watson

Rumors of the Carolina Panthers remaining interested in Deshaun Watson despite adding Sam Darnold have surfaced, which leaves lots of questions.
For now, Sam Darnold is the Carolina Panthers starting quarterback and yet without taking a snap he is already facing rumors of being replaced.
The Panthers have been attached to the latest Deshaun Watson speculation, with Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk claiming that the organization was still “keeping an eye” on developments surrounding the signal-caller.
While adding Watson would be a shocking move it isn’t out of the question for a team desperately searching for a franchise quarterback – something the former Clemson star has proven to be with the Houston Texans.
They have seen how impossible it is to win without one and are willing to make any move to secure their future.
However, is adding Watson the right move?
There are certainly plenty of positives in adding a player as talented as Watson. But one would be remiss not to point out the obvious issues to adding the 2018 first-round pick.
It seems increasingly likely Watson will not finish the season in Houston and could be moved before Week 1.
