4 Carolina Panthers on their final warning at the Texans in Week 3
By Dean Jones
Which Carolina Panthers players could be on their final warning at the Houston Texans on Thursday Night Football in Week 3?
With such a short turnaround from their Week 2 win over the New Orleans Saints, there is no room for looking back or getting complacent where the Carolina Panthers are concerned. Although they are heavily favored to topple the Houston Texans on Thursday Night Football, believing the increasing hype could come back to haunt the team if they don’t prepare in the right manner.
This is something Matt Rhule and his coaching staff are keen to avoid. They know how much work is still to be done in terms of reaching their goals, so taking the Texans lightly despite rookie quarterback Davis Mills making his first start would be an error.
There is no such thing as a sure thing in the NFL. Although the Panthers have begun the campaign in an impressive fashion, it’s easy to remember that is just two games and there are some tougher challenges ahead.
Not only this, but some things need to be brushed up and certain members of the organization need to start pulling their weight if Carolina wants to realistically enter the postseason discussion later this year. Something that is well within the team’s capabilities judging by their efforts over the first two contests.
With this in mind, here are four Panthers who might be heading into Thursday’s game in Houston on their final warning.
