Trades galore and major early focus in Panthers 2022 NFL mock draft

Carolina Panthers pick No. 105: Tyrese Robinson – OL (Oklahoma)
As stated previously, the Carolina Panthers have much work to do in pursuit of finding the right formula on the offensive line. They went into the campaign with a patchwork group outside of right tackle Taylor Moton, and even though it’s not cost them too much as yet, they cannot continue with this method if the team wants to become a true contender.
Getting nastier across the protection is the smart way to go. Tyrese Robinson certainly fits this mold, with the interior lineman becoming one of the most feared guards in the college system since slotting in at Oklahoma.
Robinson is a mauler in the run game and has all the size needed to throw opposing defensive linemen around like rag dolls. Although this will be far more difficult once he gets to the NFL, his natural strength will be a real asset.
Not only this, but Robinson’s frame allows him to excel in pass protection – an area where Carolina isn’t getting much assistance from their current options on the interior.
If Robinson can improve on his recovery skills – even though he is rarely beaten – then the Panthers or another team could end up getting a Day 1 starter with incredible potential.
