With how bad the Carolina Panthers’ Week 7 loss to the New York Giants was, there simply can’t be any winners to choose from.
A disaster.
That’s all that can be said about the Carolina Panthers’ loss to the New York Giants on Sunday.
Desperately needing a win after three straight losses, the Panthers had the perfect opportunity to get back on track against a 1-5 Giants team that was basically playing with second-stringers on offense minus quarterback Daniel Jones.
And boy, New York embarrassed Carolina.
After taking the lead with a field goal in the first quarter, the Panthers were shut out the rest of the way basically looking incompetent on offense.
The Carolina defense wasn’t bad in the first. They held the Giants to five points – thanks to a safety – in the first half and sacked Jones twice.
However, as you’d expect, they were on the field way longer than the offense and tired out by the time the second half was underway.
Besides that, there were frankly no winners on the Panthers.
Jones, yes a quarterback, had a pretty cool one-handed catch. But Carolina had nothing but misery to show from their efforts.
So I’m not going to dig through the barrel looking for three winners. Here are six losers from the game, and frankly, there would be many more if we had all day to write about it.
