Foyesade Oluokun – LB

There’s really not much to like about the Atlanta Falcons defense, but linebacker Foyesade Oluokun has actually put up some solid stat lines through the first six weeks of the season.

Atlanta only has 10 sacks on the year and Oluokun has one of them, in addition to his first interception of the year that he got last week against the Miami Dolphins.

Oluokun leads the team with 61 total tackles and has double-digit tackles in three of his games played. Considering how well the Yale product played against the Carolina Panthers last year, the offense will have to be wary of him on the field.

It’s hard to look at Carolina’s production at the New York Giants in Week 7 and not think the Falcons are looking forward to this one. Even if they are giving up more than 250 yards per game through the air.

Oluokun will certainly try to take advantage of the struggling Carolina offense and he’s one of the few guys on Atlanta’s defense that can do so. His potential to impact proceedings at the second level is well documented and if the Panthers aren’t ready, then it’s going to come with some potential difficulties.
